Max De Zutter
Max De Zutter brings 15 years of experience fostering collaboration with local stakeholders and a passion for working to create safe, healthy and vibrant communities. Max has broad experience managing grants and administering school and community-based youth initiatives in the government and nonprofit sectors.
Originally from Chicago, Max and his family relocated to Gainesville in 2019. In Chicago, Max served as a Program Director with After School Matters, a nonprofit organization that supports up to 20,000 teens across Chicago each year with paid opportunities in the arts, communications, sports and STEM.
As an Associate Director at the Alliance for a Healthier Generation, Max oversaw implementation of the Healthy Schools and Communities Program across eight states, including Florida. The national non-profit partners with school districts to provide training and evidence-based tools and resources that empower schools to make healthy changes where students thrive physically, emotionally, and academically.
Max received a B.A. in Sociology and Anthropology from Earlham College in Richmond, Indiana.
