NewboRN Home Visiting

NewboRN Home Visiting is a free program offered to all Alachua County women who give birth in the county. Within a week after baby is born, a registered nurse or midwife visits mom and baby at home to see how they are doing, share information and connect them to services and resources.  A registered nurse or midwife will provide a physical and health assessment on baby and mom, help with breastfeeding and nutrition, show how to care for baby, share infant safety tips, discuss family planning options and connect families to local resources.
