Data Collection and Management Policy
Thank you for your interest in the Data Collection and Management Policy!
In January 2022, the Board authorized the formation of a Data Technical Advisory Committee (DTAC) to foster alignment among community stakeholders and the Children's Trust about evaluation priorities and develop a policy surrounding data collection, storage, and utilization. This committee consisted of two Board members and seven community stakeholders who indicated strong skills, expertise, experience, and passion to help craft a data collection and management policy that would be in the best interest of children and families in Alachua County.
The Trust hosted six monthly committee meetings between March and August 2022. DTAC members had the opportunity to brainstorm and discuss policy recommendations including: types of data collected, collection processes, protection, data sharing, and communicating results. The Data Collection and Management Policy collaboratively developed by the DTAC members was unanimously approved the Trust Board on September 26, 2022.
The Trust solicited applicants with a range of expertise and perspectives concerning evaluation and data management to serve on the DTAC. During the March 14, 2022 meeting, the Board selected the following seven (7) committee members:
Board member representatives on the committee include Lee Pinkoson and Shane Andrew.
Bonnie Wagner, Research, Planning, and Evaluation Coordinator, served as Children's Trust staff lead and coordinator of the committee.
