Children’s Trust Releases RFP for System Mapping

Gainesville, Florida – The Children’s Trust of Alachua County released a Request for Proposal (RFP) for System Mapping of the Prenatal to 5 children services system.
The mission of the Children’s Trust is to fund and support a coordinated system of community services.
“A child’s capacity to learn begins at birth,” explained Colin Murphy, Executive Director of the Children’s Trust of Alachua County. “Nothing can replace nurturing care and support the first three years of a child’s life. Creating a path that ensures that every child gets what they need, when they need it, is critical to realizing our vision that every child thrives.”
The Children’s Trust of Alachua County’s system mapping initiative is supported by the Pritzker Children’s Initiative (pritzkerchildrensinitiative.org). The Children’s Trust of Alachua County received a $250,000 grant from the Pritzker Children’s Initiative to support a Prenatal-to-three (PN-3) systems-building initiative with the goals of 1) increasing access to prenatal-to-three services and 2) increasing participation in high-quality infant and child care.
The Children’s Trust is seeking proposals for a system mapping of service touchpoints and formalization of intake, referral, and information sharing protocols. The successful applicant will work collaboratively with staff and project partners to create an ongoing touchpoint identification to add new services, introduce new key contacts, evaluation of changes in the number and percentage of all eligible families being served or connected. “This system map is critical to informing our future investments,” said Murphy. “Once this map is complete, we will have a clear path to ensure that our youngest children can grow up healthy, educated, supported, and safe."
